Materials
Gold is a precious metal of exceptional purity, durability and appeal. For thousands of years, people have valued gold not only for its warm lustre, but also for its unique physical properties.
Due to its rarity and beauty, it is recognised worldwide as a symbol of wealth, power and permanence. Gold is and remains an incomparable material with timeless fascination.
The material is ‘alloyed’ to make gold suitable for everyday use and visually variable. As pure gold (24 carat) is very soft, alloys are created by adding other metals, such as silver, copper or palladium, to increase the hardness and resistance. Depending on the mixing ratio, not only the physical properties change, but also the colour. This results in yellow gold, white gold or rose gold, for example.
Diamonds are among the most precious and fascinating gemstones in the world. Formed under enormous pressure and high temperatures deep inside the earth.
Masterfully crafted, they unfold an indescribable fire and brilliance that makes them unmistakable. Each diamond is unique - formed over billions of years, cut to perfection and treasured as a symbol of luxury, love and eternity.
The quality and value of a diamond are determined by the so-called 4 Cs. These are carat, which describes the weight of a diamond, cut, colour and clarity. These characteristics help to precisely assess the beauty and true value of a diamond.
BINDER works with brilliant-cut diamonds and, as in all areas, attaches great importance to uncompromising quality, top quality and sustainable sources.Protecting our environment and natural resources is a core concern of our brand.
