Warranty
- BINDER guarantees that the product will be free of defects and fully functional for a period of two years after collection from the branch. The warranty period continues regardless of any warranty services provided. BINDER may choose to fulfil the warranty by:
- Free repair (original warranty period continues to apply to all products);
- partial and complete replacement with an equivalent used/repaired product (in the event of replacement during the first year of the warranty, the original warranty period continues to apply; in the event of replacement during the second year of the warranty, the warranty period is 1 year from the date of replacement);
- Replacement with a new product from BINDER (new warranty period of 2 years from replacement);
- Credit note at the current price (maximum of the sales price at the time of the order);
- or reduction.
- During the warranty claim review process, BINDER may, at its discretion, provide the customer with a replacement/exchange product (exchange subject to confirmation). This is subject to the (suspensive) condition that the warranty claim is valid. The customer therefore only acquires ownership of the replacement product once BINDER has approved the warranty claim. If BINDER rejects a warranty claim, the customer may purchase the replacement product at the value of the goods at the time of delivery, or is obliged to return the replacement product at their own expense. The warranty rights to which the customer is legally entitled remain unaffected by this warranty.
- Repairs outside the warranty period: The costs for repairs outside the warranty period shall be borne by the customer. In the case of products that do not exhibit any detectable faults or where the defect is not covered by the warranty, BINDER reserves the right to charge the customer for the costs of inspecting the alleged defect and for shipping costs.
